This summer, we've been embracing every opportunity to be outside—whether that's on job sites, in the garden, or taking weekend trips to Napa, the Bay Area, and Zion.

For the Home

June brought several major finish selection meetings and project milestones for our clients. These are some of my favorite days—the culmination of months of concept work, gathering samples, refining ideas, and making hundreds of small(and big) decisions that ultimately shape how a home will feel. They require a lot of preparation behind the scenes, but so rewarding seeing it all come together. With many of those big decisions behind us, these projects are now shifting into a more detailed execution phase, where drawings and material samples begin to transform into real spaces. Lately, I've been immersed in exterior finish selections (currently on the hunt for the perfect cobblestone). The common thread through all of them is a focus on organic, earthy materials that feel timeless and settle naturally into the landscape. Currently loving dusty blue interiors and tiled range hoods. Both feel timeless, full of character, and add so much warmth and interest to a space.

In the Garden

Our yard is in full bloom, and we definitely have more flowers than we've ever had before—with plenty more still to come. We also have more green tomatoes than I can count, and I swear they're taking their sweet time. For whatever reason, our garden always seems to run a little behind what our growing zone suggests. Whether it's the partial shade, the soil, or just patience being part of the process, Trying to accept that our harvest comes on its own schedule.
