What we have been doing
We traveled to Sunriver, OR, and Bainbridge Island, WA, to celebrate some of our best friends getting married and were reminded of how much we love the PNW. After what felt like the hottest and longest summer ever, one of our dahlias finally bloomed, and I cannot explain how pleased I am! I’m excited to try again next year. We've been grinding on Facebook Marketplace for outdoor furniture and installed our salvaged brick path, which we got for free from a 1960s home in the area. I’ve been working on a few exciting design projects and running all over town sourcing for them.
What we have been loving
I think I can finally say I’ve shifted my algorithm away from wedding florals and onto my next obsession: wreaths. Apologies to the haters who aren’t ready for Christmas content, but I’m fully there and ready. Last year, I committed to way too many DIYs and crafts, so this year, I’m learning from my mistakes and simply starting earlier.
For the home- deep red and brown tones, dried florals, and antique tiles. Very excited to get into Leann Ford's new design book.
In the kitchen- feeling inspired by the new season. two of my favorite recipes right now are green chicken chili and tortellini soup.
In the garden- We are enjoying the last of our summer produce but are prepping to do some planting and seeding once there is more more rain on the forecast. Currently browsing hydrangeas after our trip to Washington last week.
